GEORGIA O'KEEFE

Perhaps this seems a bit overspoken, however, I feel that it is important to speak about Georgia O'Keefe on this blog because she's an American artist who is not well known in Europe. She was famous for her flowers and scenes of imperial skyscrapers in Manhattan, as well as her portrayals of the dry plains in New Mexico. She was an important artist of her times (around 1910-1950) and remains a highly respected artist, in particular for her mixing of colors and soft etheral transitions. As far as personalities known in our times, Calvin Klein keeps a painting by her in his residence in New York city. Here are some of her works.
